Tonight begins an 18-week stretch of Thursday night beach music concerts in Raleigh. This is the fourth year North Hills mall has hosted these free events. There's no other place I'd rather be on Thursday night. When I picture heaven, in a non-theological sense of course, I picture one big beach music concert with Jason and all my friends shagging on the dance floor.
Each week there is a different band playing. My favorites are The Embers and Band of Oz. Kicking off the series was none other than The Embers. Luckily some of my girlfriends are equally enthusiastic about beach music so we made tonight a girls' night which meant my shag partner stayed home. Not to worry though, there's always the electric slide and cupid shuffle during intermission-don't need a partner for those group dances!
With front row seats, we remained highly entertained by the general public. I love to watch the couples who really know how to shag. Other couples out there...I'm not sure what they were doing:).
