Picking up where I left off...

So apparently our summer has been busy!  I did not estimate the dedication it'd take to continue blogging at a regular pace after June hit.  Upon being accosted by dear blogging friends I figured I'd better get back on track.  Here we go...

The weekend after July 4th we went to Sims to enjoy a short visit with Jason's brother Jeremy who was home from Abu Dhabi.  He is working over there on a 2-3 yr project for Epic Systems.  His company installs computer systems into major hospitals & he is managing the current team in the UAE.

Members of the Glover & Folsom families came over for an afternoon cook-out with all the fixings!

Lots of garden veggies & yummy side dishes were enjoyed by all.  Then to top it all off we had brownie sundaes for dessert.

As previously alluded to, the following weekend we had our YM1 class over to the farm for a 'get in touch with your country side' day.  The weather was beautiful & we had a great turnout with lots of friends & several kiddos.

After lunch it was off to the garden for a vegetable lesson by super gardener Jo, aka Jason's mom.

Only a truck ride back across the road to the house stood between adults and tractor rides!

Not only the kiddos got a turn driving the tractor, but also some 'big' kids too.  Ryan Thomsen & Brian Schmidt were all too excited:)!

It had been a few years since we invited everyone to the farm, looks like we'll have to make it a more frequent tradition!

For another great wrap up of the day, check out Laura's Blog.

I HATE that we missed the farm day! I can't tell you how disappointed JD was when we had to tell him we could not go. Looks like you all had a blast!!!
